I absolutely loved this fabric and had it in my stash for at least a year. I had no idea what I was going to make with it when I purchased it from Fabric Mart. The colors struct me as beautiful, but because the way Florida weather is set up I didn't want to make a coat or suit. I am so glad I came across this pattern while drawer surfing in Joann's. The moment I laid eyes on it this fabric came to mine. A perfect pairing I think.
I probably will not get an opportunity to wear it, the weather here in Central Florida is beautiful and it doesn't appear we will get any weather below 65 degrees anytime soon, so I guess I'll hand it up and wait for next January, when the temperature may dip down into the 50's, and I can justify wearing it.
Happy Sewing!!!!!
I love this wrap. The colors really pop! I am trying to find the pattern but can't find it under McCall nor Vogue. Please provide the pattern number. I would love to try my hand at making this. Thanks
ReplyDeletelol! I drawer surf too, I think we can find patterns a lot quicker that way especially if all the books are taken during sales lol! love the colors!

This is stunning!
ReplyDeleteOR, you could send it up here to central Georgia and I could break it in for you real good. Our a.m. temperatures were in the mid 40's, but we've had misty rain all day long, and this afternoon my fingers were a little tingly on the way home. You made a lovely garment - great paring.
ReplyDeleteA perfect pairing indeed! You did that! I certainly hope you get to wear it...it's Haute!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis coat is Fabulous Mel!! It makes me smile everytime I look at it.. Great Work Sew Sista..
ReplyDeleteI love the pink and black & how you styled the cape....very striking. Could you please post a clear pic of the pattern envelope. I can't seem to find a copy of this pattern anywhere when I search by the pattern #.
ReplyDeleteHey love first I had the name all wrong, LOL. Its Vogue not McCalls. Its Vogue 8965, but the one I purchased has VP17 on the envelope, I guess it was marketed differently. Hope this helps.
